TXT Soobin’s Dream Becomes A Reality As He Recreates An Iconic Nam Joo Hyuk Scene

There are many idol actors, such as GOT7‘s Jinyoung, ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo, 2PM‘s Taecyeon, and SF9‘s Rowoon (just to name a few).

Then there are idols who resemble actors…

TXT‘s Soobin is as big a fan of K-Dramas as anyone. He frequently talks about what he is currently watching during live broadcasts.

So, last month, he and Beomgyu spoke about the hit K-Drama Twenty Five Twenty One during their live broadcast. They did more than just share their relatable reaction, though.

Soobin revealed that Beomgyu had pointed out a resemblance between the TXT leader and Twenty Five Twenty One‘s male lead Baek Yi Jin, played by actor Nam Joo Hyuk.

Beomgyu claimed that he had not really been the one to point out the resemblance. Soobin himself had!

Soobin is not the only one convinced of the resemblance. Recently, Kim Jong Kook said the same thing.

Now, in a way, Soobin’s dream has become a reality…

M2 released TOMORROW X TOGETHER COMEBACK SHOW : Thursday’s Child. In it, the members played mini-games, ultimately deciding what main roles they would take, recreating iconic scenes of K-Dramas.

When TXT arrived at the filming location, they noticed posters of famous Korean films and dramas but with their faces photoshopped on the main actors. Even a poster of Twenty Five Twenty One was there! Yet, Baek Yi Jin is not the role Soobin would take…

So, there was a table with a prop representing the main characters of dramas. For example, a hospital gown was clearly for Hospital Playlist.

The members were confused about swimming goggles, but it was representative of Nam Joo Hyuk’s character in Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok Joo, Jung Joon Hyung.

With each game, a winner got first preference when selecting props. Yet, some won multiple times, so they got multiple roles.

In the end, the roles were revealed, and Yeonjun realized that he received the role of both Kim Bok Joo and Jung Joon Hyung. So, he gave the role of Jung Joo Hyung to Soobin.

Unfortunately for these two, the scene they needed to recreate was the characters’ iconic first kiss…

So, Soobin wanted to back out from taking the role of Jung Joo Hyung.

The members then reminded Soobin of his resemblance to Nam Joo Hyuk. That was enough to convince him!

Thankfully for Yeonjun and Soobin, the two focused on the confession scene itself more than a kiss.

Instead, the two opted for a sentimental forehead touch.
