TXT Is Under The Same Company As Artists Like Justin Bieber—Here’s What Yeonjun And Taehyun Think About It
Early this year, BTS and TXT‘s parent company, HYBE, reportedly merged with Scooter Braun‘s investment company, Ithaca Holdings. SB Projects, a subsidiary of Ithaca Holdings, notably manages popular singers like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato.
Having heard about this merger, Eric Nam recently asked TXT’s Yeonjun and Taehyun about their initial reaction when they heard the news.
Now you are under the same company as some of the most popular artists in the U.S., right? How did it feel when you heard that news?
— Eric Nam
Yeonjun revealed that his first thought was, “How much bigger is it going to get?”
Although he feels some pressure, he is also grateful that it happened. It gave him more motivation to work harder.
It’s starting to pressure us as well. But in a way, it feels really nice, and we feel blessed, which also leads us to thinking that we should work harder. It feels good in many ways. We’re excited.
— Yeonjun
Agreeing with Yeonjun, Taehyun added that he feels awe when he thinks about how far the company has come. Reflecting on its incredible growth since its founding has made him see that nothing in this world is impossible.
Yeonjun is the longest to have been in our company among TXT members, then it’s me next. We grew up witnessing the history of Big Hit for the longest time, and it’s just astounding! It is starting to make me feel like nothing is impossible.
— Taehyun
