This was clearer than ever when TXT appeared at the 2022 American Music Awards (AMAs) as one of the nominees of the “FAVORITE K-POP ARTIST” category.

Here, they had the chance to see and meet various Western artists.

One singer in particular stole their attention like no other: pop star icon Taylor Swift.

The renowned singer-songwriter was one of the big winners of the night, taking home six awards ranging from “Favorite Music Video” to “Artist of the Year.”

In one of these instances when she was called up the stage to accept her reward, eagle-eyed fans noticed Yeonjun and Taehyun in the background jumping up from their seats to give her a standing ovation.

They held their phones up high and recorded her special moment—as expected of the excited fans!

This was a dream come true for them, with fans recalling the time Taehyun admitted in an interview that the artist he wants to meet the most is Taylor Swift.
