The Unglamorous Way BLACKPINK's Jisoo And Red Velvet's Seulgi Became Friends

Recently, BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo appeared on Red Velvet Seulgi‘s interview program, Vacation Life, and revealed how the pair became friends!

While sitting down for a meal, Jisoo and Seulgi discussed how they first met, mentioning they went to the same salon. Jisoo said that some staff mentioned that Red Velvet went to that salon and wanted to become friends because she was the same age as Wendy and Seulgi.

Jisoo got her chance to meet Seulgi later at the 2019 Gaon Chart Music Awards, now known as the Circle Chart Music Awards.

But rather than meeting backstage as many idols do, Jisoo ran into Seulgi in the bathroom!

The pair provided more details on the first meeting, with Seulgi mentioning that Lisa was also present. Seulgi shares that she initially felt they couldn’t become close because they were from different agencies.

These concerns were quickly put to rest by Jisoo, who greeted her very brightly while she was just standing there. Jisoo didn’t waste any time from there, telling Seulgi that she wanted to become friends.

Seulgi agreed, and the rest is history!
