Upcoming Adult Themed BL Film Gains Attention For Lead Actor Being Openly Gay
As BL (boy love) has taken off as a genre, more series have been produced. Recently, Love In The Big City has taken the internet by storm for its depiction of the life of a gay man.
However, like in other genres, many times, these characters are played by men who are openly straight or are not out as queer. While it is not okay to attempt to force someone to “come out,” many have expressed wishes for characters to be played by individuals who are gay to have that sort of representation.
The upcoming drama Only For Fans has unexpectedly given fans just that!
At the beginning of December, Only For Fans was announced from the same studio that created the previously attention-earning series Twins.
The drama has been compared to the BL webtoon BJ Alex and is about a streamer who is given a proposition from his biggest fan.
Danny a content creator running an independent online channel, receives an unexpected proposal from Ho Yeon, a long-time fan.

So far only the leads have been announced, with Oh Dong Won playing the part of Danny, and Kim Han Min as Ho Yeon. Kim Han Min might be familiar to some as he has previous experience on screen.
Kim appeared in the third season of HisMan, Korea’s first gay reality dating show where audiences had mixed feelings about him.
Oh Dong Won has also been reported as gay, but there is not information currently on his accounts confirming this.
Many praised the series for its casting, and appreciate the representation.
