One of the K-Dramas set to be released is Dear Hyeri starring Shin Hye Sun and actor Lee Jin Wook. The story follows on Joo Eun Ho (Shin Hye Sun), who is an announcer who has developed DID (dissociative identity disorder) after her younger sibling disappears and she and her boyfriend break up.

When the casting was first revealed, netizens were furious due to male lead Lee Jin Wook’s past sexual assault allegations.

In 2016, he was accused of sexual assault by a woman, but he counter-sued the accuser, claiming it was a false accusation. He was cleared of the charges in 2016 after she claimed the allegations were false, but the accuser later claimed that police coerced her and that she really was sexually assaulted.

Recently, a preview was shared to give netizens a sneak peak on what to expect from the series.

When the post was reshared to find international fans, netizens voiced their own thoughts on Lee Jin Wook’s appearance as the male lead. While many referenced his past allegations, others shared that they would have to boycott the K-Drama despite many being extremely excited to see Shin Hae Sun on their screens.

While he was cleared of the charges, many netizens think Lee Jin Wook is still guilty.
