Radhika Jones, Editor-In-Chief of Vanity Fair had something to say to these haters, basically addressing them on CBS Morning Plus, while answering an interview question. In the segment, she defends Lisa and explains why they chose her to be featured on the magazine.

Lisa’s incredibly famous, but we’re going to introduce her in a new context, and it’s nice to be able to create that mix. You know, there’s no bigger star right now than Nicole Kidman, she’s everywhere.

Host (Question): How did you make these decisions for which stars to include? Because, you know, some are really well known household names, others are up and comers. And I read that you wanted to look for people who were taking risks, who weren’t trying to just be typecast.

Radhika Jones (Answer): Yeah, that’s always interesting to us. So take someone like Lisa, who was a huge star in K-Pop world, um, less well known in Hollywood or with a Hollywood audience, but she’s going to be on the White Lotus in the new season.

And that, you know, people love that show. So this is our way of saying. Lisa’s incredibly famous, but we’re going to introduce her in a new context, and it’s nice to be able to create that mix, you know, there’s no bigger star right now than Nicole Kidman, she’s everywhere, her work is incredible, and she, even at her level of success, is also driven by taking risks, she wants to do projects that feel new and exciting, and her new film Baby Girl is amazing, I may say, I just saw it, so, so, we love to put those kinds of people together and I feel like when you have a mix of people together, in different stages of their career, it lends itself to moments of discovery. You can discover somebody new to you, but you can also rediscover someone you thought you knew.”
