VANNER’s Hyesung Is Undergoing Mental Health Treatment After Enlisting In The Army

He is being treated at a military hospital.

KLAP Entertainment has provided an update on VANNER member Hyesung‘s military service, revealing that he is currently receiving treatment for mental health issues. The agency shared the news in a statement through the group’s official fan cafe earlier today.

According to the company, Hyesung began his military duty as an active-duty soldier on November 4. However, not long after joining the training center, it became evident that completing the program would be challenging for him due to pre-existing conditions, including panic disorder and other mental health concerns.

Following this assessment, Hyesung was admitted to the National Army Hospital in Daejeon just two weeks after his enlistment to undergo detailed medical examinations. He is now focusing on recovery under the guidance of the Military Manpower Administration.

Due to his current condition, Hyesung will not be able to participate in the ceremony marking the end of his basic training, which was initially set for December 10.

VANNER’s Hyesung enlisted in the military as an active-duty soldier on November 4 to fulfill his mandatory military service. However, after enlisting, the training center determined that he would face difficulties completing training due to pre-existing panic disorder and mental health issues. As a result, he was admitted to the National Army Hospital in Daejeon two weeks after enlisting for a thorough medical examination.

Currently, Hyesung is undergoing treatment under the direction of the Military Manpower Administration, and therefore, he will not be able to attend the completion ceremony scheduled for December 10.
