Veteran Actress Got Severely Injured While Filming Upcoming Movie

Actress Kim Hye Soo reportedly got severely injured while filming for her upcoming K-Drama titled Unmasked.

On the morning of November 21, KST, Kim attended the Disney Content Showcase APAC 2024 in Singapore with his co-star Jung Sung Il. At the event, the two actors and director, Yoo Sun Deong, took questions from the audience about Unmasked.

The show’s story revolves around an investigative reporting crew that personally follows cases that police or prosecution refuse to solve. Kim plays the role of team leader Oh So Ryong and had to do some hardcore scenes for the project.

Talking to the audience in Singapore, Kim mentioned that Unamsked contains realistic episodes mixed with humor and easy-to-digest entertainment. But while shooting an intense scene, she sustained a severe injury in her thigh.

The actress recalled that she was supposed to shoot a physical scene on a cold day when she tore her thigh muscle.

I had to do a physically intense scene on a freezing day. I ruptured my right thigh muscle while running.

Despite the serious injury, Kim pulled through and finished shooting the scene.

I thought we could at least shoot my face since my leg was injured, but it turned out that wasn’t possible. I remember re-setting everything and filming again. The scene ended up looking very dynamic.

Meanwhile, Unmasked is set to release in theatres in January 2025.
