Actress Lee Yeon Hee is expecting her first child!

On June 7, KST, the veteran actress shared the joyful news through her social media. In a handwritten letter, she conveyed her sincere feelings to fans, adding that she expects to welcome her baby this September.

I am writing this today because I want to share good news with you.
A precious life has come to me for which I feel so grateful and blessed.
I was wondering what time would be the best to share this news, but now I thought it was a good time to share, so I decided to say this.

Actually, everything is still amazing and doesn’t feel real, but I’m trying to spend each day in good condition.
I hope the fans I love so much will celebrate together.

This personal letter came shortly after Lee’s agency, Saram Entertainment, announced the news of her pregnancy through various media outlets.

Lee got married to her non-celebrity husband four years ago and has been active as an actress even after her marriage. In her fan cafe announcement, where she shared the news of her wedding with fans, the actress had implored the public to see her “as actress Lee Yeon Hee rather than anyone’s wife or someone who has a husband.”

Meanwhile, Lee Yeon Hee made her acting debut in 2004 in the historical K-Drama Emperor of the Sea. Her most notable works include dramas like Phantom and Miss Korea and movies such as A Millionnaire’s First Love and Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island. In 2020, she left SM Entertainment after 19 years with the agency and moved to Hyun Bin‘s Vast Entertainment, eventually signing with Saram Entertainment in January 2024.
