Artistic Director Virgil Abloh Reveals Why BTS Was Perfect For His Louis Vuitton Collection
French luxury brand Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Fall-Winter 2021 collection by Artistic Director Virgil Abloh includes 34 new looks. Seven of these designs are modeled by House Ambassadors BTS in a short film by Korean director Jeon Go Woon.
The film stages a conversation between space, movement and global connectivity central to our moment in time, and explores the city of Seoul through the lens of diversity.

We couldn’t imagine anyone more perfect to bring the collection to life than BTS. They are no strangers to modeling, after all, as they are also global brand ambassadors for Fila and have walked the red carpet in Gucci. Abloh has now revealed why he personally felt like BTS were the perfect choice for the brand.
Seoul has such unique energy and BTS embody this vibe completely. They add their spin to the collection, make it their own and take it to new heights.

Virgil Abloh, who is Ghanaian American, reiterates both diversity and unity in his approach as artistic director at Louis Vuitton. For spring 2021, physical runways were displayed in Shanghai then Tokyo. He refers to this format of having the runways in various cities around the world subsequently as “The Voyage.” He describes it as “exchanges across cultures and nations, observing the core values of diversity, inclusivity, and unity.”
Considering Abloh’s vision, we can’t help but agree that BTS are the right people to help him deliver this inclusive message!
