Popular Korean Magazine’s Now-Deleted Tweet About RIIZE’s Seunghan Fuels Divide
When SM Entertainment confirmed that member Seunghan is ending his hiatus and returning to RIIZE, some clash was expected…
…but perhaps not to the extent that the fandom is now experiencing.
Somewhere between his emotional handwritten letter and the power struggle of wreaths vs. trucks in front of SM Entertainment, Vogue Korea tried showing their support for “OT7.”
Well, until the tweet got deleted, that is.
Vogue Korea tweeted, “Group RIIZE is going back to their beginnings and starting over new.” The tweet, viewed 140K times, then collected a flood of responses.
Assumed to be due to the unexpected amount of heat it got, the tweet was deleted and its trace no longer exists—but the internet is forever. A screenshot of the original tweet has made its round online, fueling the divide between pro-return and anti-return fans. Some even became convinced that Vogue Korea must have been waiting for Seunghan’s return because of unreleased content that featured the member.
- “I bet there’s a photo shoot or an interview that Vogue Korea wants to release, LOL.”
- “Oh, don’t tell me there’s an OT7 photo shoot… Not going to support it.”
- “Just toss the pictorial, if that’s what this is about.”
- “I wonder if Vogue Korea got involved because there was some sort of a pictorial to be released… because if not, what’s wrong with them? Read the room.”

While no one knows the intention behind Vogue Korea’s tweeting-and-deleting, one thing is clear: Seunghan’s return is turning out to be more controversial than Vogue Korea could have ever anticipated.
The article remains published on Vogue Korea, asking, “Seunghan has been working hard to improve his skills during his hiatus, and we’re curious to see what kind of performances he’ll bring upon returning to the team. What will the next chapter look like for the seven members of RIIZE who have come together again?”
