The winner of the BTS‘s Jungkook lookalike contest has been announced!
Recently, a new trend has popped up in the United States involving celebrity lookalikes.
The first occurred in New York, where there was a contest to find the closest lookalike of actor Timothee Chalamet. The actor showed up during this contest, and more contests involving other celebrities have popped up.

It was recently reported that a lookalike contest for BTS‘s Jungkook will be held on November 24 at Ping Tom Park in Chicago. As stated on the distributed posters, the winner would receive a “$20 CASH PRIZE + A BOTTLE OF SOJU.”
ARMYs jokingly guessed who would win the contest, making it go viral.
The contest took place on November 24, gathering a decent-sized crowd as competitors showed off their resemblances to the idol. Netizens reported on the contest, giving those who could not attend a look at the festivities.

Ultimately, it was narrowed down to three individuals, with the winner being announced as a man named Andrew Alexander.

Andrew Alexander is a YouTuber and content creator on multiple platforms, who actually flew into the city for the contest. A TikTok shared by his sister, another content creator, shows the process of helping his resemblance by drawing on Jungkook’s hand tattoos.

According to his YouTube account, Andrew is a third year university student living in California. He often appears in his sister, Ashley’s, YouTube videos including one from around four years ago, where she transformed him into Jungkook.

Before the contest began, Ashley shared a final look at Alexander’s Jungkook-ification and many commenters stated that they saw the resemblance.
