Fourth-Generation Girl Group Sparks Backlash For Using Boy Group’s Title Track As Their Own

Is this even acceptable?

K-Pop girl group WOOAH, preparing to release its second mini album, UNFRAMED, received criticism for one of the tracks on the new album.

In the highlight medley video, netizens noticed that track five, titled “Girls Love Boys,” sounded very familiar.

Turns out, the song was the same as its company’s junior boy group DXMON‘s title track, “Boys Love Girls.” DXMON is under SQQ Entertainment, the same company as WOOAH, and released its first single album, HYPERSPACE 911 with the title track, “Girls, Love boys, Love girls” in May.

F*ck so ridiculous. WOOAH included a b-side track that’s the same song as DXMON’s title track and just switched the title backwards.

Fans were baffled and couldn’t understand why the company would use the same song for both groups.

Might as well just change the group name to ‘AHWOO’ why don’t you…

It looks like the company really liked the song, but it didn’t receive as much spotlight, and because they couldn’t use it again as WOOAH’s title song, they just added it as one of their b-sides.

It looks like the company is trying to make some grand storyline, with a boy side and a girl side, but their method of doing it is wrong.

Can’t believe they are really reusing a song like this…but the song is really good though.

Even if they are a small agency, the A&R team has no conscience…

What?????? I can understand that you guys used a lot of money to make this song, but really? Wow.

What are your thoughts on reusing a song with artists from the same company?
