“Wooga Squad” Bestie Park Seo Joon Updates Regarding BTS’s V Since His Enlistment
BTS‘s V enlisted alongside leader RM on December 11. Besides their fellow members, V’s friends, The Wooga Squad, consisting of Choi Woo Shik (also romanized as Choi Woo Sik), Park Seo Joon, Peakboy, and ZE:A‘s Park Hyung Sik, saw him off Wooga is an abbreviation for the phrase “Are we family?” (Woori-ga Gajok-inga?).
Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik shared a Wooga Squad group photo of each friend touching V’s shaved head. Seo Joon wrote, “Our makdaengi (a variation of “maknae”), have a safe service!”
Now, Park Seo Joon has provided another update regarding V’s enlistment.
During a recent live broadcast, Na PD noticed that there were many purple heart emojis commented, so he asked Seo Joon how V was doing since he enlisted. Park Seo Joon reassured everyone that he spoke to V ahead of enlistment, and his voice sounded bright. V promised to return safely.
Na PD: There was a great event that shook up the nation of Korea.
Park Seo Joon: Which was…?
Na PD: The enlistment of BTS’s V, our Taehyungie.
Park Seo Joon: Yeah.
Na PD: Is everything alright with our Taehyung? Did he get there OK? I’m asking because I see a lot of purple hearts in chat, and I assume many fans who miss Taehyung are watching now. Did he get there without any trouble?
Park Seo Joon: Yeah, I saw him before he left, and we even talked on the phone before the enlistment. He said he’ll be back safe and sound in no time. His voice sounded bright and cheery, so I thought he would fit right in. He’s such a social person, so I’m sure he’s going to get along with everyone right away.

It’s already V’s second day in the military. So, remembering Park Seo Joon’s own enlistment, they guessed what V might be up to currently.
Dae Joo: So he has been gone for two days now?
Park Seo Joon: Yeah, it’s his second day today.
Dae Joo: Ah. It’s going to be a long day for him, then.
Na PD: Ahhh, the second day. Seo Joon, do you remember your second day? Did you train at Nonsan?
Park Seo Joon: Yeah, I went to Nonsan.
