“Wooga Squad” Besties Bid Farewell To BTS’s V As He Enlists In The Military
The Wooga Squad is bidding farewell to their maknae!
The Wooga Squad consists of V, Choi Woo Shik (also known as Choi Woo Sik), Park Seo Joon, Peakboy, and ZE:A‘s Park Hyung Sik. Wooga is an abbreviation for the phrase “Are we family?” (Woori-ga Gajok-inga?). They often show their support for each other’s endeavors and also released reality show In the SOOP: Friendcation last year.
As V is the youngest of the friend group, he is the last to fulfill mandatory military enlistment. Choi Woo Shik is Korean Canadian, so he was exempt.
V enlisted alongside BTS leader RM on December 11. Their members saw them off, including Jin, J-Hope, and Suga, who are currently serving.
The Wooga Squad also saw V off ahead of enlistment. Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik shared a group photo of each friend touching V’s bald head. Seo Joon wrote, “Our makdaengi (a variation of ‘maknae’), have a safe service!”
Fortunately, V was able to spend time with his friends before enlisting. Park Hyung Sik previously shared that he drank with V ahead of enlistment.
A little while ago, a few days ago, there’s a friend who will be going to the military soon now, and I thought I should see him before he goes, and we drank quite a bit.
