YG Entertainment Harshly Flamed By Netizens After 2025 Artist Plan Announcement
YG Entertainment is currently under fire after announcing its plans for next year.
On December 2, YG Entertainment shared a video featuring Yang Hyun Suk titled “TREASURE NEWS And YG 2025 PLAN.” In the video, Yang discussed the plans and future activities of the idols under the label, including TREASURE, who were specifically featured in the title.
During the first 2 minutes of the video, YG discusses TREASURE’s future plans, which include a world tour, new music and a change in leadership.

In the next 20 seconds of the video, multiple artists plans are mentioned. BABYMONSTER and AKMU are mentioned to have “many activities,” while WINNER is said to be embarking on a tour next year.
BLACKPINK are also said to be kicking off a world tour next year, which was previously announced. Yang also mentions that there are numerous trainees waiting to debut, and that 2025 will be a big year for the company.
Many netizens criticized the announcement for not giving specific details for any of the artists besides TREASURE. Many specifically mentioned BABYMONSTER, as the company has already faced heat over its management of the group.
- “Baemon (BABYMONSTER), please give us more good songs. Not as a joke, but something even better… You’re talented, but the songs fall short.”
- “WINNER is going on tour? Without releasing a full album? Please, release a full album before you go.”
- “Can ‘hope’ really count as a plan? LOL. Come on, you’re the official source; why are you calling it ‘hope’ instead of a proper plan?”
- “Don’t believe it even if YG says, ‘It’s coming soon.’ Don’t fall for it. Everyone knows it’s a company obsessed with creating hype.”
- “Seriously, YG needs to change the company leader.”
- “Why did WINNER even renew their contracts? Two of them can produce, yet they’re in a company where they only release one new song a year. Other artists release tracks even during their military hiatus.”
- “Is this some kind of neighborhood convenience store’s quarterly plan? No proper plan, and yet you’re talking about a 2025 roadmap that’s going nowhere.”
