Yonghwa tops Weibo and other international charts with “One Fine Day”
CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa released his first solo album, One Fine Day, on January 20th and has taken over international charts after the first week!
The music video for “One Fine Day” was ranked number one on a Chinese weekly chart published on January 26th with a score of 99.92 out of 100 points. The chart takes into account streams, downloads, and shares, demonstrating Yonghwa’s popularity in Greater China. In addition, “One Fine Day” recorded a high of 100 points in real-time ranking upon it’s release on the 20th.
Yonghwa also topped Chinese video streaming site iQIYI with “One Fine Day” and “Mileage ft. YDG” at number 1 and 2, respectively this week. One Fine Day ranked number 1 in album sales on Taiwanese music site 5Music. Jung Yonghwa has also been on the popularity ranking and has continued to rise for 10 weeks running on popular Chinese portal and microblogging site, Weibo.
The CNBLUE leader has garnered a lot of attention for his debut album with his collaborations, most notably, with the popular Singaporean, Taiwan-based artist JJ Lin who was recently the first mandopop singer to perform in mandarin on a Korean Music Show. Some have even accredited Yonghwa’s explosive popularity in China and Taiwan to his collaboration, naming it the “JJ Lin” effect.
