Yonsei University Accused Of “Discriminating” Against aespa’s NingNing
Netizens have accused Yonsei University of discriminating against aespa’s NingNing.
On May 25, aespa performed at the Yonsei University festival. Unsurprisingly, they captured the hearts of those attending with their talent, visuals, and charisma.

A week after aespa’s performance, Yonsei University posted a photo set of the idols who had participated and them rocking the Yonsei varsity jacket.
Yet, netizens quickly noticed that only Winter, Karina, and Giselle were shown in the photos. The caption listed all the members of aespa in the caption with their Instagram handles, except for NingNing because her photo wasn’t shown in the main post.
When the post was shared, netizens immediately noticed that NingNing’s name and username were missing and called out the university for “discriminating” against the idol. In particular, every group was tagged, and while aespa was the only one with individual members listed, NingNing’s name couldn’t be seen.
Netizens also pointed out that as soon as the festival happened, NingNing posted photos of herself on Instagram wearing the Yonsei varsity that could’ve been used and the university still excluded her.
If the university was only choosing a few idols, it would make sense but the fact they used three members and left out only NingNing had netizens angry.
