YouTube Channel Apologizes For Rude Remarks Made Towards The Late Kim Sae Ron

Recently, Kim Gap Soo, a cultural critic, garnered much controversy for his remarks on the Maebul Show YouTube channel.
On March 17, he made rude and inappropriate remarks regarding the late Kim Sae Ron while discussing the dating allegations between her and Kim Soo Hyun.
While talking about the problems regarding the media about the matter, Kim Gap Soo began focusing the discussion on the large age gap and wondering why that posed a problem.
They’re making it seem like dating a minor is some huge crime. When people date, there can be a big age gap, and the woman can be older. In my case, I wouldn’t think of her as a lover because she smells fishy because she’s young.

Although the host tried to stop him from continuing, Kim responded that this was a “personal characteristic.”
Seeing this, Korean netizens were appalled that he would make such a statement.

The channel has since apologized and deleted the controversial remarks. They also announced that they would discontinue the series permanently.
