Yulhee Gives The Full Breakdown Of The Events Leading Up To Her Divorce With F.T. Island’s Minhwan
Former LABOUM‘s Yulhee released a damning video on October 24, 2024, where she not only exposed former husband F.T. Island’s Minhwan for infidelity but also clarified many misunderstandings about the couple’s divorce situation.
Although the public had been allegedly led to believe that Yulhee was an irresponsible mother who was not even paying for child support, the truth according to her is vastly different.
Regarding child support, Minhwan’s representatives had originally suggested that if she were to take the children with her, they would pay her a lump sum of ₩50.0 million KRW (about $36,200 USD) along with ₩2.00 million KRW (about $1,450 USD) per month in total for the three children. Although she had originally wanted to take the kids with her, she realized that if she tried asking for a more reasonable sum, it would end up in a lawsuit.
She was tired out emotionally and agreed that Minhwan had better means of caring for the child, so she agreed to not take a single cent instead, leaving Minhwan with custody. No assets were split on both ends, and no child support was agreed upon as such. Legally, Minhwan would have had to split his assets with Yulhee if she had not agreed to these terms.
I wanted to take the kids with me. At that time, they suggested ₩50.0 million KRW (about $36,200 USD) for me to get a house upon divorce, and ₩2.00 million KRW (about $1,450 USD) a month in child support. But thinking about things realistically, to be honest, it only sounded like I would to die like that. Sure I could get a rental house with that money, but rent will deplete it over time. The only way for me to secure the needed assets as ideal and get out with the kids was a lawsuit, but I was so tired.

She also claimed that not only did Minhwan’s family constantly badmouth Yulhee, they also looked down on her family. Yulhee accused Minhwan of causing her to be embarrassed in front of their families by not only touching her breasts in front of them, but also tucking money into her shirt’s neckline once.
When the couple appeared on the show My Golden Kids, Yulhee had already been aware of her husband’s infidelity, but wanted to consult Oh Eun Young on the show in order to heal their relationship.
Yulhee had been depressed to the point where tears would fall even though she did not feel anything, In the midst of it, Minhwan had brought up divorce, leading Yulhee to set her heart on it as well.
