Hanbin received a fan’s gift of a plush heart and began playing with it with Hao as they posed for pictures. One pose they did was each holding one of the plush heart’s hands.

This pose reminded ZEROSEs of something. Many had flashbacks to the viral 2017 American animated short film In a Heartbeat, produced by Ringling College of Art and Design and written and directed by Esteban Bravo and Beth David. The BL (Boy Love) short film, which garnered 50M views at the time of writing, follows, “A closeted boy runs the risk of being outed by his own heart after it pops out of his chest to chase down the boy of his dreams.”

ZEROSEs were shocked that the ZEROBASEONE members not only knew this short film but also recreated such an iconic scene. It’s so cute!

Queer fans were sent into meltdown. ZEROBASEONE truly is a comfort group for LGBTQIA+ fans.
