ZEROBASEONE Makes History Already With Record Pre-Sales For Debut Album

“ZB1 is going to be soooo huge. 2.5 years is not nearly enough.”

Anticipation for the boy group formed by survival show Boys PlanetZEROBASEONE, is growing as their debut date nears.

They’re set to release their first album, Youth in the Shade, on July 10 at 6PM KST/5AM EST, and despite it being two weeks away, the album has already made a record for the boy group!

Reported on June 26, the mini-album recorded around 780,000 pre-sale orders in just the first five days of sales — the highest number of pre-orders for any K-Pop debut album in history.

It’s already only behind two other boy group debut albums in terms of total sales to date — Perfume by NCT DOJAEJUNG, which has made 835.3k sales to date, and 1X1=1 (To Be One) by Wanna One, which has sold 805.3k copies.

And given that there are still two weeks of pre-sales before Youth in the Shade is even released, it’s likely to reach #1 once it does actually come out!

The topic of ZEROBASEONE’s record became the subject of a post on an online forum, and in the comments, netizens shared their excitement and anticipation for the boy group’s upcoming debut.

Make sure not to miss when ZEROBASEONE debuts on July 10!
