Recently, he had the chance to perform NCT Dojaejung‘s “Perfume” at the Music Bank Global Festival in Japan.

After the performance, he revealed the behind-the-scenes of how he prepared for the stage.

“I just monitored the stage just now. I can’t believe I was able to do Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo sunbaenim’s song. I felt so proud, and our Zerose probably didn’t expect it since it was a surprise special stage. I literally would be singing the song every time I opened my eyes. That’s how hard I prepared for it. I also watched more of the ‘Perfume’ stages and don’t know if I was just being a fan or preparing for the stage while watching it.

I recorded Doyoung’s part and it made realize how much I need to practice singing. There were a lot details that I missed because I had to record in a hurry before heading to our concert. I regretted some parts, but I thought I could make up for it through the performance and added some slight tutting into the middle.

I also asked in advance about the outfits to try to make the most of it. I personally felt there was still so much more I could have done, and I felt some regret while monitoring, but regardless, I’m so proud and can’t express in words how much Zerose loved the stage.”
