“Dugeun Dugeun India” experiences filming difficulties in India
The upcoming program Dugeun Dugeun India for KBS2 is experiencing filming mishaps right from the start. The fans of the starring idols have shown strong sentiments of their fandom.
Dugeun Dugeun India is a new variety program starring six idol members including TVXQ’s Changmin, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Minho, INFINITE’s Sungkyu, CNBLUE’s Jonghyun, and EXO’s Suho. Recently, the production team and members have embarked for India and started filming on February 2nd.
Fans are looking forward to PD Lee Ye Ji’s new variety program Dugeun Dugeun India. PD Lee has successfully presented Hello Counselor and Our Neighborhood Arts and Physical Education in the past.
However, the idol-studded program has not only experienced controversy even before the filming, but also experiencing filming difficulties in India. The production team has kept the departure schedules in private, to which many fans complained, “Why are you taking our oppas to dangerous India to film?,” prior to the filming.
Yet, a mishap between the crowd of local fans waiting for their favourite idols at the airport in India and the production team is causing a greater problem for the actual filming. A number of local fans are claiming on SNS that the production team had manipulated the the filming process by blocking their welcome greetings, inspecting their personal bags, requesting to not shout at the idols, and asking to not take photos or videos that could spoil the show.
According to the production team of the program, “These rumours are different from the truth. Dugeun Dugeun India received filming confirmation only a day before the departure and the airport warned that they won’t be able to continue filming if they were to cause chaos at the airport. We have local police and coordinators traveling together to every filming site in India, so we don’t know what they exactly communicated to the fans. However, the rumours claiming that our production team manipulated the show and threatened the fans are false accusations.”
Moreover, the personnel assured the safety of the idols, “Although we have completed our local survey and checked our safety procedures in India, fans are still in disbelief as they are negatively bloating the stories and asking to stop the filming. We are not sure how to convince the fans.”
