2nd Gen K-Pop Group Set To Re-Debut With A New Name And Members
In recent years, there has been a resurgence in the activities of K-Pop’s second-generation idols.
From special reunions to comebacks to appearing as regular cast members on variety shows and more, giving fans a behind-the-scenes account of the inner workings of the K-Pop industry and a feeling of nostalgia as many fans grew up with them, while others recently discovered them.
DGNA (also known as The Boss) debuted in Korea in 2010 and made their debut in Japan the following year.
The group remained active until 2017, and after a window of inactivity, three of the group’s members, Karam, Injun, and Jay, briefly participated in the 2023 JTBC survival show Peak Time before withdrawing before the second elimination round.
At the end of 2023, the group announced they signed with a new company, New Ways Company, and would be re-debuting with a new name and the addition of new members.
Their new company released an official statement announcing the group’s re-debut as ASC2NT, with two new members joining Jay, Karam, and Injun.
The group’s newest members are Reon and Kyle. Reon will be a rapper and sub-vocalist in the group, as well as a visual member. He is also fluent in English.
Kyle is also a sub-vocalist and speaks English, Korean, and Indonesian.
