The Extreme Way A 70-Year-Old Grandfather Manages To Look Decades Younger
As some people age, they often try many things to maintain their youth. This can range from simple differences made to everyday styling to multi-procedure plastic surgery makeovers, and as long as they are safe and happy, it is no one’s business but their own.
A 70-year-old man from Chongqing, China, seems to have discovered his way of accessing the fountain of youth, leaving him looking decades younger!
Zou Heping of China first began running uphill, holding a 5-gallon water jug as part of his fitness regime in 1979 when he read about the benefits in a magazine. Since then, his regime has grown to include weighted pull-ups, rope or pole climbing, and handstands.
Most impressively, the 70-year-old frog jumps up the over 2,500 steps to the top of Gele Mountain in around an hour before crawling back down in around 50 minutes. One of these tasks would be hard for the average 20-year-old to perform, let alone both in the same workout!
In addition to his daily workout, Zou Heping stated that avoiding alcohol and cigarettes and going to bed early aided his success. His mind also seemed just as sharp as he talked about the daily questions he faced due to his youthful looks.
Everywhere I go, people ask me my age, whether my hair is a wig or dyed, what I eat, how I built my muscles… I answer all these questions. I’m tired of it.
— Zou Heping
Hopefully, this super-fit grandpa can continue his extreme routine for many years to come!
