His height is not the only thing that makes the actresses look so small. His hand size is outstanding! They completely enclose his co-stars’ hands and even entirely wrap around their waists.

Yet, Ahn Bo Hyun was embarrassed by his large hands. On the Korean reality show I Live Alone (also known as Home Alone), the hosts marveled at his big hands.

They even compared Park Na Rae‘s small hands (note: she’s also only 4’11” or 1.49m) to his hands. After, he confessed that he was actually embarrassed of his large hands, much to the hosts’ shock.

Ahn Bo Hyun explained that his hands created insecurity in him as a model. He thought they looked weird with long-sleeved outfits.

When I wear clothes with sleeves like this, all you see are my hands. When I was a model, you only see my hands in photos, and looks like they were photoshopped.

Fellow actor and model Sung Hoon pointed out that having large hands as an actor is actually good because it makes the actress’ face appear even smaller in intimate scenes. Park Na Rae agreed.

K-Drama viewers who have watched Ahn Bo Hyun as the male lead would also agree. Fans love his big hands, and anytime he has a K-Drama on air, you’ll frequently see thirst tweets related to them.

Thanks to such comments, Ahn Bo Hyun is far from embarrassed of his hands. In a recent interview for Netflix to promote his latest K-Drama See You in My 19th Life, he was asked to comment on “big hands.” So, naturally, he looked at his own and confidentially declared that he was proud of his big hands (as he should be)!
