Despite the many celebrities sharing their MBTI results, actor Gong Yoo refuses to be one of them. He explained why during his appearance on Salon Drip.
When host Jang Do Yeon asked the actor for his MBTI, Gong Yoo admitted, “I’ve never revealed this on television or in interviews.”
Naturally curious, Jang Do Yeon asked why. Gong Yoo said, “I don’t want to,” and then offered a more detailed explanation.
The actor didn’t like the misconceptions that it causes, choosing not to be limited to a specific list of traits.
When someone’s MBTI is known, that makes it easier to feel like you already know that person. They’re like, ‘Oh, no wonder. I thought you were a certain MBTI.’ I didn’t like people thinking they knew me because they knew my MBTI.

That’s why he made a promise to himself. Gong Yoo added, “So I swore to myself never to share my MBTI.”
Since he had a soft spot for Jang Do Yeon, Gong Yoo gave her a hint. He only revealed that the first letter was I.
