Adding This Secret Ingredient To Your Ramen Makes It Taste 100 Times Better
Korea’s celebrity chef Paik Jong Won found out that adding peanut butter to ramyeon could truly elevate it.
According to those who’ve tried it, it tastes a bit like gamjatang (Korean pork bone soup) with added noodles!
All you need to make it is a few extra ingredients, like chilli pepper flakes, green onions, and of course, peanut butter.
First, add one tablespoon of oil to your pot.
Add in your green onions and cook them until it releases its fragrant aroma.
Then, take your pot off the heat and add a spoon of chilli pepper flakes and mix it.
Put it back on the heat and mix it until it’s fully incorporated with the green onion.
Next, add your ramyeon soup base.
Then pour in 400mL of water (a little less than your regular ramyeon).
Boil the ramyeon until it starts bubbling…
…then add your noodles.
Once the noodles have cooked a little, mix in a tablespoon of peanut butter.
Cook the ramyeon until the broth has reduced a little and it has a slightly thicker consistency than regular ramyeon.
Now all you have to do is enjoy!
Make sure you sip some of that rich, savory broth too!
