The Advice Park Hyung Sik Wishes He Had Taken From “Doctor Slump” Co-Star Park Shin Hye
Actors Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik reunited after a decade to co-star in their popular new K-Drama, Doctor Slump.
To promote their new drama, the two global stars sat down for an interview with Girl’s Day‘s Hyeri for her new talk show, Hyeri’s Club.
Park Shin Hye starred as Cha Eun Sang in the hit K-Drama The Heirs in 2013, and Park Hyung Sik also had a role in the drama as Jo Myung Soo.
With their new drama, the two actors revealed they feel like they’re working together for the first time since their The Heirs characters didn’t share scenes often.
The two naturally fell into their new roles together and are already earning attention for their on-screen chemistry and their professionalism after they shared some of the difficulties they overcame on set.
When Hyeri asked what challenges they faced while filming, the actors agreed that filming was perfect “except for the weather” and showed off their natural friendship when they explained why.
The filming schedule spanned from March until October 2023 during what happened to be the “hottest year in history.”
When Park Hyung Sik began to wear layers of warm clothes during their early filming schedules, Park Shin Hye advised that it would be hot and tough to wear later in their schedules. Instead of heeding her warning, Park Hyung Sik hilariously replied that they would be done filming everything before it got too hot to wear.
Park Hyung Sik playfully acknowledged his “mistake,” admitting to Park Shin Hye that he was a “fool” and should have listened to the 20-year acting veteran when he quickly learned his many layers were too warm to wear.
