The managing director of the BLM movement thanked the group for their support in this important cause.
Black people all over the world are in pain at the moment from the trauma of centuries of oppression. We are moved by the generosity of BTS and allies all over the world who stand in solidarity in the fight for Black lives.

After news of BTS’s donation was revealed to the public, BTS’s fandom ARMY got straight to work and immediately began to start a project to try and match BTS’s $1 million donation.
We prefer to call this an ARMY fundraiser. One in An ARMY only organizes and boosts projects done by BTS fans. ARMY specifically were the ones who approached us and asked us to assist in fundraising for Black Lives Matter.

What’s even more amazing is that although they have reached their goal to match a million, they will continue to leave the donation link as a permanent page and allow fans to make donations regardless of reaching the goal!
will we still be able to use the donation link even though we've already reached the goal? — Absolutely. BLM now has a permanent page on our website, because of how big it all grew (https://t.co/167MsQdK9a). … https://t.co/gnXiGVLouO
