ASTRO’s Rocky Reveals How He Got So Good At Dance
The YouTube channel HeyNews recently invited ASTRO‘s Rocky to be the latest in their series of parents meeting with their children’s favorite idols.
Rocky sat down with the mother of one of his most devoted fans in his interview, even though the mother didn’t know much about him. Aside from general knowledge that he danced.
And that her daughter collects photocards of Rocky.
But while she was getting to know the idol, by reading a letter her daughter had written to Rocky, they, of course, had to talk about his dance skill.
In the letter, the daughter had written, “there are a lot of good dancers in this idol scene, but no one will be as good at turns as you are.”
The mother was especially curious about how long Rocky had been dancing since her daughter’s letter mentioned that he’d been taking dance classes since he was four.
Rocky explained that when he first started attending a dance academy, he enjoyed it so much that he took all of the lessons they would allow him to.
He lists hip-hop, girl’s hip-hop, dancesport, and yoga as some of the classes he would regularly attend.
He then adds that the start of his learning to professionally dance was when he was twelve while working for the musical Billy Elliot.
The musical marked the first time that Rocky started taking ballet classes and, hence, learned how to turn, which the mother’s daughter had said was his unrivaled skill.
Although Rocky got a bit flustered after he’d finished the turns, the mother reassured him that he was “really good at it.”
Of course, Rocky’s turns are incredible to watch, especially when he has more space. And now that fans know about his ballet training, his immense skill only makes more sense.
