ATEEZ Contemplates The Possibility Of Getting Matching Tattoos— Here’s Each Member’s Response
ATEEZ recently completed their world tour, The Fellowship: Beginning of the End, and made many amazing memories with ATINYs.
The group had originally planned their world tour for 2020, but just as they arrived in Madrid, talks of COVID-19 related travel and border restrictions began and they unfortunately had to postpone to return to Korea.
Luckily, they successfully completed their tour this year, making stops in Korea, the US, and five European cities.
After the European leg of the tour was postponed in 2020 and again postponed until spring earlier this year, European ATINYs were especially eager to see the talented group. ATEEZ sold out their largest venue on their European tour in under an hour and a half.
While in Europe, Teen Vogue caught up with the group and chatted about their tour, their style, how they unwind, and about the inner-workings of their group.
They talked about their iconic hairstyles from the tour, and ATEEZ shared that although they have eight members and often have members that like the same hairstyle, they usually compromise and agree that one member can try the desired hairstyle now and the other member can try during the next promotions.
This tour saw Hongjoong‘s iconic “Cruella” two-toned hair…
A bleach-blonde San…
And Seonghwa‘s undercut, to name a few of their hair transformations.
The group shared that they like to switch it up and keep things fresh when trying new styles. For other experimental styles, the group is no stranger when it comes to body modifications. All members have piercings except for Mingi and Yunho, with members Wooyoung, San, and Hongjoong also having tattoos.
Teen Vogue asked the group if they would consider a matching group tattoo, and here’s what the members had to say:
San playfully suggested an idea for the tattoo, “eight makes one team.” San already shares a matching tattoo with fellow member Wooyoung but revealed he wouldn’t consider more because of the pain.
The adventurous Wooyoung said he was down to try anything.
Hongjoong and Mingi said they would go with the flow.
Maknae Jungho said, “it would take a lot of discussing,” but was mostly against the idea of getting a tattoo. Yunho agreed with Jungho and said he also did not want to get a tattoo and couldn’t see himself with piercings in the future.
Members Yeosang and Seonghwa didn’t directly comment on the group tattoo but did say that facial piercings were one body modification they wouldn’t consider.
Since their motto is “eight makes one team,” it seems like the chances they’ll get a group tattoo are slim… for now.
