These Are The Benefits of Being An Artist At SM Entertainment
On an episode of Omniscient Interfering View, Kim Saeng Min, a long-time SM Entertainment employee, sang his agency’s praises.
He told entertainer Park Sung Kwang, who recently signed with the S.M. Culture & Contents division, that he visits the company office every day, even when he doesn’t have scheduled work to do there. Why?
Parking is free for company cars!
At the office, beverages are also free for SM artists.
When Saeng Min found out that Sung Kwang had paid twice for his drinks before learning about the perk, Saeng Min told him he should ask for a refund! Sung Kwang laughed off the suggestion, saying that it wouldn’t be worth the hassle.
SM Entertainment also gives their artists points for purchasing food at the company, which can be used later to pay for other meals at the company’s dining establishments or their convenience store.
Another one of Saeng Min’s favorite SM Entertainment perks is his title. On television, he said that he is called a “comedian” but at SM Entertainment he is called an “artist”.
In response to his sunbae’s enthusiasm, Sung Kwang jokingly asked, “Is this an advertisement SM?”
Seung Min laughed, but continued to praise SM.
Afterward, Seung Min took his new hoobae out to see more of the company.
