BLACKPINK's Jennie And Lisa Prove They're Ultimate BFF Goals During Their "BORN PINK" Concert In Hong Kong

BLACKPINK is known for their tight-knit friendship both on- and off-stage, and members Lisa and Jennie have formed an especially close bond over the years.

During her interview with Rolling Stone, Lisa fondly remembered her first meeting with Jennie. Out of the BLACKPINK members, Jennie was the first member Lisa met.

At the time, other trainees were discouraged from speaking to Lisa in English so that she would quickly learn Korean. Moving from Thailand to her new life in Korea was difficult, but losing a method of communication through language was especially hard for Lisa.

Lisa shared that Jennie greeted her in English when they first met; from then on, they were super close.

I remember Jennie, she was the only one who like, said hi to me in English because other people can’t talk in English. We were super close.

BLACKPINK is currently on their BORN PINK world tour, and there has been no shortage of fun, memorable, goofy, and endearing interactions between the members,

During their recent Hong Kong concert, eagle-eyed fans spotted a telling sign that the two are truly ultimate BFF goals.

BLACKPINK had three back-to-back concerts in Hong Kong, and their final concert was also the day before Jennie’s birthday. Jennie was surprised with a cake to celebrate, and her fellow members and BLINKs sang her “Happy Birthday.”

While the crowd heartwarmingly sang “Happy Birthday,” Jennie quickly gestured to staff to pass her phone to her so she could capture the special moment.

Perceptive netizens quickly noticed that the phone grabbed was actually Lisa’s based on the phone case. Hilariously, Jennie didn’t seem fazed by the staff’s mistake; instead, she took photos and videos with it as if it were hers.

At one point, she even handed the phone to Lisa to continue taking the video for her before the group’s maknae handed her phone right back to Jennie. This left fans hilariously questioning who really owns the phone, despite double-checking multiple photos of Lisa with the exact phone case.

Fans couldn’t get over how naturally Jennie used Lisa’s phone and couldn’t help realizing how close they must be for Jennie to know Lisa’s passcode.
