BLACKPINK's Jennie Wore The Same Outfit As An Iconic 90s Anime Character But Served Different Vibes

Regarding fashion, BLACKPINK‘s Jennie has always been one of the most fashionable idols, often having twin moments with stars worldwide.

Recently, the star took this to the next level, wearing the same outfit as an iconic 90s manga and anime character!

Jennie is the cover star for the July edition of Vogue Japan and wore several different Chanel looks as part of the photo shoot. She looked exceptionally stylish in the varying outfits.

One of the outfits was a colorful floral matching top and pants that she wore with black heels.

While this outfit might not be recognizable to fans of the series, Sailor Moon‘s titular character also wore the same look!

Sailor Moon is a Japanese series written by Naoka Takeuchi about a group of school-aged characters, the Sailor Guardians, who fight evil using magical powers. In the series, Sailor Moon (also known as Usagi Tsukino) is typically seen in her school uniform or her Guardian outfit when transformed.

In May 2023, it was shared that Naoka Takeuchi collaborated with Chanel for a special feature in the CHANEL MAGAZINE 2023 / SPECIAL ISSUE: 31 RUE CAMBON TOKYO. For this feature, Takeuchi drew several of the character wearing Chanel’s Matiers d’Art Collection.
