BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Reveals The Time Lisa’s Encounter With A Fan Abroad Shocked Her
Although BLACKPINK debuted in 2016, the members of the group have been together for almost ten years on their journey to become idols. Throughout that time, they have spent countless days together and been through so many experiences.
The members recently celebrated their fifth anniversary and sat down on a live broadcast with fans, talking about everything from behind-the-scenes stories to even hearing Jisoo say, “I love you.”
It was a broadcast full of anecdotes, and, in particular, Jisoo shared a time when she was with Lisa in the US that surprised her.
Jisoo explained that the group had been in the US at one point, and they had seen a fan who was very enthusiastic about spotting the members. Yet, it was Lisa’s response that surprised Jisoo the most.
We were walking on the street then, all of a sudden, one foreigner said, ‘Hey!’ And then Lisa responded ‘Hi!’ I asked her, ‘Do you know that person?’ and she was like, ‘No.’

Rosé also remembered that moment, and for Jisoo, the interaction became even more surprising as time went on.
They even high-fived and walked past. I was so surprised, ‘How could you run into someone you know on the street you know?’ Lisa said, ‘I don’t know who that person is.’

Even though Lisa was fine returning the bold greeting, it didn’t mean that she was taken back by it. Yet, it was something that she really liked more than shocked like Jisoo was.
The person was approaching me and said ‘hi,’ and we walked past each other. Actually, I really liked it. I liked it.

As expected, even Jennie thought that only Lisa could do something like that. After watching the clip, many fans thought it might be because of the cultural differences in countries and, in particular, how people are more reserved and respectful in Korea!
