The Dream BLACKPINK’s Lisa Gave Up On Because She Chose The K-Pop Idol Life
BLACKPINK‘s Lisa recently gave a home tour while answering questions in papers that were scattered around each room. These ranged from her favorite childhood picture…
…to the person she respects the most…
…and even to what her former dreams were when she was a kid. Regarding the latter, she was asked, “If you did not become a K-Pop idol, what would be your occupation right now?”
She had a ready answer at the top of her head.
A flight attendant, I wanted to be a flight attendant, a flight attendant.

If Lisa weren’t killing it on stage in front of thousands of fans, she would have been thousands of feet above the ground in an airplane instead. Her childhood dream was to be a flight attendant, someone who keeps passengers safe and comfortable on airplanes.
Lisa’s father supported her decision when she mentioned it to him years ago. His only comment was that she would likely have to finish her studies in another country if she pursued this career.
Before I auditioned, when I told my dad that I wanted to be a flight attendant, he said that I would have to go study abroad.

Becoming a flight attendant ended up staying a dream for Lisa. She eventually became the only person admitted to YG Entertainment in their 2010 YG Audition in Thailand.
But I signed to YG and I’ve given up on my dream of being a flight attendant.

She debuted in 2016 and is now one of the most successful K-Pop idols ever!
