BLACKPINK Earns Praise Worldwide For Their “Pink Venom” Live Vocals In The 2022 VMAs, And We Totally Understand Why
BLACKPINK made history in MTV‘s 2022 Video Music Awards.
The YG Entertainment girl group took home the award for “Best Metaverse Performance” with BLACKPINK The Virtual PUBG in addition to Lisa‘s win for “Best K-Pop” with “LALISA.”
Besides making headlines for their achievements, they also trended online due to their incredible skills. BLACKPINK performed their pre-release single, “Pink Venom,” during the live show and earned praise for their vocals.
Rosé, in particular, solidified her position as main vocalist. Korean netizens couldn’t help but notice her capabilities, commenting, “Her voice color is already so unique but she’s also such a great singer live,” “She stands out right away,” and “Rosé’s voice became louder! She was a top vocalist since the start but now she’s even more stable. She’s a monster.”
The other members also received compliments for their energy, charisma, and consistency. It was evident that they tried their best to be louder than the backtrack with quality rap and vocals.
Fans were quick to praise them online with accompanying proof.

This is far from the first time BLACKPINK went viral for their live skills. When they won first place for “How You Like That,” for instance, their encore stage was said to be similar to the recorded version.
When it comes to live performances, BLACKPINK never disappoints!
