The powder scene is one of the most iconic scenes from BLACKPINK‘s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” music video.
When BLACKPINK guested on AKMU Lee Suhyun‘s radio show Volume Up, they got asked what the powder was.
Jennie then revealed that the powder was just corn flour mixed with some food coloring!
However, the members also shared that filming this scene was a little tough since the powder would stick on their clothes. Due to this, the members would have to run away whenever the powder got sprinkled.
Due to how difficult it was to film with the powder, they had to film the scene multiple times.
Jennie concluded by sharing that they’re not 100% sure if it was corn flour, but it was either that or something similar.
