BLACKPINK’s Rosé Makes A Surprise Visit To Saint Laurent’s Creative Director—Here’s What We Know About Their Friendship
BLACKPINK recently made fans curious about their schedules when they appeared in Los Angeles, USA, seemingly out of nowhere.
On June 27, part of this confusion was addressed when Rosé‘s friend, Anthony Vaccarello, posted an Instagram Story with the caption “LA Surprise,” tagging the singer.
Anthony Vaccarello is no ordinary person! Born in Belgian, the fashion designer was appointed as Saint Laurent‘s creative director in 2016. Rosé is the global ambassador of the luxury fashion brand, so she is often spotted wearing the clothes that he designed.
The two met in 2019 when she attended Saint Laurent’s event during Paris Fashion Week.
Since then, she’s been found tagging the designer on social media and sharing photos together.
Moreover, they have such a close working relationship that Rosé isn’t shy to communicate her ideas with him! She told W Magazine, “Anthony and I talk or text message quite often—he’s really good at keeping us close. I have very strong opinions, and I think Anthony noticed that.”
In a separate interview with DAZED Korea, she wasn’t shy to praise his talent.
I think my style is closer to ‘classic,’ but not only that. I have to dig deep into Anthony’s styles. I always ask myself why could he be so creative with Latex and unique ideas. There are so many range of colors and patterns, and also stories about Saint Laurent’s classic uniqueness. The more I look at those designs, the more amazing I feel.

When Rosé made her solo debut last March with her album, R, Anthony Vaccarello sent her a handwritten letter and a present.

Now, the two are close enough that Rosé even made a surprise visit to his Los Angeles home bearing gifts of clothes for his new baby! She posted a sweet photo of Anthony carrying his child, captioning it, “My absolute heart..❤️”
