Peniel then shared that his parents were a little different from the typical “disciplining Asian parents” and that they gave him a lot of freedom when he was younger.
My parents weren’t the typical disciplining Asian parents. They just kind of let me be a kid when I was younger.

This has had a big effect on Peniel, as he now aspires to be like this for his future children.
I just want to be like that for my kids. So, that’s why they’re my role models.
