ARMY Made BTS Trend At #1 For The Most Ridiculous Reason
BTS‘s ARMY is the biggest fandom in the world, and sometimes their sheer power has amusing consequences.
On Twitter (aka ARMY’s playground), ARMYs frequently cause BTS’s members to trend, simply because they’re showing the boys so much love. Inside fandom jokes, memes, and V‘s dog Yeontan have also trended, thanks to these fans.
On June 20, BTS uploaded this summery photo to their official Twitter account. The sunglass-wearing, straw hat trio received much love from ARMY, but the tweet’s caption is the true star of this post.

The caption is supposed to read, “The three scarecrows of Big Hit”, but Google translate had other plans. Instead, the caption automatically translated to “Big Hit scarecrow threesome”. International ARMYs tweeted about this hilarious translation so much that it became the number one trending topic in the US.
As usual, “locals” (non-fans) are expected to be confused, but so are many Big Hit Entertainment fans who haven’t discovered the source of this strange, trending topic.
