BTS Continues To Break Barriers By Being The First-Time Nominees In Several AMA Categories
It was recently revealed that BTS was nominated for several American Music Award (AMA) categories!
Not only are they proving the power of K-Pop by going against top artists in “Favorite Social Artist”, “Best Duo/Group” and “Tour of the Year”, but they are the first nominees of their kind in most categories.

BTS is the first Korean artist to be nominated for “Tour of the Year” since it was introduced in 2016.
They are also the first non-English artist to be nominated for “Best Duo/Group” since the AMAs were created in 1974. BTS is currently up against Panic! At the Disco and the Jonas Brothers.
These are simply more achievements added to their other awards and nominations, such as the recent Billboard Music Awards’ “Top Duo/Group” win earlier in 2019.
