BTS Shares How They Felt When They Won Their First Daesang In 2016
In the 2016 Melon Music Awards (MMA), BTS won their first Daesang, as their album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever won “Album of the Year”.
BTS recently guested on a video with Vanity Fair, where they looked back on highlights of their careers. One moment they looked at was this moment from the 2016 MMA. When looking back at this moment, the members couldn’t believe that it’s already been 4 years since they won their first Daesang.
Jimin shared that this award was extremely meaningful to them since it showed that people loved an entire album of theirs and not just one song.
J-Hope also mentioned that winning “Album of the Year” was an incredible honor for them and that this award was the most meaningful to them at the time since they worked so hard on The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever.
Jin concluded by speaking about how they were surprised when they won the award.
