BTS’s Jungkook’s Many Achievements Have Given Him This Massive Net Worth
BTS‘s maknae, Jungkook, has achieved many accomplishments in his life and career as an idol. Since he debuted in the group in 2013 as the youngest member, he has proven time and again that he deserves the title of “golden maknae“, given how he seems to be able to succeed in pretty much anything he sets his mind to.
BTS themselves have been extremely successful as well, both in terms of popularity and profit. As the best-selling artist in South Korea, the group has a combined net worth of about $60 million USD, and brings in $3.6 billion USD annually to the South Korean economy.
Jungkook, of course, plays a big part in BTS’s success, and has brought in a good portion of the group’s income both as a member of the group and as a solo artist. His solo song, “Euphoria”, sold over 4 million copies worldwide, becoming the highest selling B-side track by a Korean artist. It also was the longest-charting song by a male Korean solo artist on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.
His solo song that he came out with this year, “My Time”, was also extremely successful in sales and on the World Digital Song Sales chart, and has even reached over 50 million streams on Spotify.
His status as one of the most popular male idols can also be seen by various data collections online. For the first half of 2020, he was the most-searched K-Pop idol on Google, ranking #1 for 22 of the 25 weeks. This isn’t new news, though, as he has consistently held a similar rank since 2017.
Additionally, he’s also the most highly searched Korean idol on YouTube, and is also the first (and still only) K-Pop idol to reach over 10 billion views on TikTok.
Because of his achievements as an artist, Jungkook’s net worth is estimated to be about $8 million USD. For any K-Pop artist, and for a celebrity in general, this isn’t anything to scoff at! Time will tell how much more successful he and the rest of BTS become in the future.
