Does BTS Jungkook’s “Seven” Sound Familiar? Here Are The Songs That Might Have Inspired It

Some sound unexpectedly similar!

Does BTS Jungkook‘s solo single “Seven (feat. Latto)” sound familiar?

Some netizens believe they have found perhaps some of its source of inspiration…

Popular TikToker jarred jermaine (@jarredjermaine on TikTok) pointed out similarities between “Seven” and “Saturday Love” by Alexander O’Neal & Cherrelle. Both songs repeat the days of the week while focusing on loving another person.

Yet, that’s not the only song that utilizes the days of the week in its lyrics. A few more examples include David Guetta and Jason Derulo‘s “Saturday/Sunday,” Charlie XCX‘s “How Can I Not Know What I Need Right Now,” and Eminem‘s “Superman.”

We can’t forget to mention the viral hit “Monday Tuesday” by Vietnamese content creator Soytiet (also stylized as So Y Tiet). He first went viral with singing numbers and caught the attention of American rapper Snoop Dogg and Canadian singer Justin Bieber.

It’s not just singing about the days of the week that seems so familiar about Jungkook’s “Seven,” though. Another TikToker, carsonlovesmashups, compared the single’s music to ’90s American girl group TLC‘s hit song “No Scrubs.” He even shared a mashup of the two songs.

Netizens agreed, and some said “No Scrubs” was the first they thought of when they first heard “Seven!” Yet, others pointed out another song they think Jungkook’s song is reminiscent of…

It’s “7 Days” by British singer-songwriter Craig David. He sang, “Monday, Took her for a drink on Tuesday, We were making love by Wednesday, And on Thursday and Friday and Saturday, We chilled on Sunday…”

Do you think “Seven” sounds like any of these songs?
