BTS Jin’s Gets Brutally Humbled By A Sassy Non-Celebrity
BTS Jin‘s rapid-fire wit is legendary, but has he finally met his match?
In Episode 6 of the Run BTS! spin-off Run Jin, Jin and his close friend, actor Lee Yi Kyung, played tennis games with two other special guests…
…11-year-old Hong Jeong Yeon and 12-year-old Lee Jun. According to the Run Jin staff, these “tennis kids” aren’t professionals (yet), but they do have eight years of experience between them.
Shortly after being introduced to Jin, both kids left him speechless by choosing BTS’s Jungkook as their favorite K-Pop idol. Jin wasn’t upset about this at all…really…but that moment kicked off a battle of wits between Jin and the kids that would continue throughout the episode.
After playing a chaotic game of tennis that involved plenty of shouting, so-called “bad sportsmanship,” and slapstick comedy, the players took a break.
While they were eating chicken, Lee Yi Kyung apologized to the kids for his and Jin’s over the top behavior on the court. “Sorry if we were screaming too much,” he said sweetly. “You’ll forgive us, right?”
As soon as the kids accepted the apology, Jin declared, “I don’t want to apologize.”
Jeong Yeon immediately shot back with, “I don’t want to forgive you either.”
Her response stunned Jin and made Lee Yi Kyung burst out laughing. Who knows? If Jeong Yeon doesn’t go pro with tennis, maybe she’ll host her own variety show someday!
