BTS’s V Once Revealed That He Was Close To Not Signing With BigHit When He Passed His Audition, Here’s Why
BTS‘s V has an interesting story of becoming an idol, and at BTS’s 5th Muster in Seoul, he shared that he was close to not signing with BigHit (BTS’s agency) when he passed his audition!
V tagged along with his friend to a BigHit audition in the past, but V had no intentions of auditioning himself and only went to support his friend. However, someone from the agency asked V if he wanted to audition on the spot, and V did.
V showed this staff member everything he could.
After the audition, the staff member told V that they would contact him if he passed.
A few weeks went by, and when V was at a gaming cafe, he received a call. It was BigHit, and they told him that he passed the audition! Not only did V pass, but he was the only person from Daegu (V’s hometown) who passed!
V then excitedly went home and told his grandmother he passed the audition. V’s grandmother, however, was a bit skeptical and thought that V was getting scammed!
V’s grandmother’s words put some doubt into V, and he started thinking that he was getting scammed.
V’s father also thought that V was getting scammed. V’s father hilariously told V that he was skeptical since he thought 2AM should have been in JYP Entertainment and not BigHit!
BigHit had to call V’s father to let him know that they were a real company!
V’s family soon were convinced that BigHit was a real company, and V and his father went to the company to sign his contract. However, V and his father got scammed by the taxi driver! While this was upsetting in the past, V and his father now laugh when looking back on this. V eventually signed the contract, and the rest is history!
